YOU GO GIRL I’m 50-plus & love showing off in skimpy swimsuits – trolls say I’m choosing not to ‘age gracefully’, I disagree

A MUM, over 50, has hit back at cruel trolls who shame her for not choosing to ''age gracefully''.

Stylish mum-of-two, Jenifer Jenkins, from the USA, took to Instagram to share the uplifting message, admitting she wasn't ''a big fan of the physical changes that take place with the aging process''.

According to the mum, who regularly shares fashion try-on hauls, including skimpy bikinis, life doesn't stop when you hit 50.

Dancing to a song by the rapper 50 Cent, the blonde stunner said: ''Don’t dread getting older. Life’s a journey, full of interesting relationships, incredible experiences, and tons of personal growth.

''It’s an evolution of one’s self, and it’s beautiful!''

Jennifer went on in the post to talk about ''ageism'' - discrimination against older people which is often based on negative and inaccurate stereotypes.

Phrases, such as ''over the hill'' and ''midlife crisis'', she noted, all ''have negative connotations''.

''But we don’t have to throw in the towel! We don’t have to disappear into obscurity just because we’ve reached a certain age.''

However, whilst she has embraced ageing and growing ''older and wiser'', Jenifer added that she is yet to become comfortable with all the changes in her body and appearance.

''Mother Nature and Father Time can be a couple of bullies,'' she chuckled.

To tackle this, the 50-year-old has decided to take control over her lifestyle, including health and fitness, as well as looking at things with a positive mindset.

The things she does not have control over, however, Jenifer gets help with, possibly implying she forks out for beauty enhancements.

''Some may say that I’ve chosen to not “age gracefully”.

''I respectfully disagree. I think it’s graceful…to me anyway.

'' I guess it depends on your definition of “grace”.''

The reaction online, where the video received more than 40k likes, was mixed, as not everyone agreed with her views.

One said: ''Doesn’t count when you have $$ to pay a doctor to fix all your blemishes.''

Someone else penned: ''Those implants are legit bursting out of your skin...''

Another reckoned Jenifer had also posted an edited version on the platform, urging: ''Then turn off the filters and own it.''

Others, meanwhile, raced to show support, with a fan saying: ''Man the comments on here are ridiculous. She's 50 and hot. Move along.''

''This is a positive message in a sea of horrible commentary for young women,'' a viewer praised Jenifer.

''Men in these comments are hating on you because it challenges the idea that women degrade as they age and it makes them insecure,'' a social media fan added.
